Student Life

At UNSW Medicine, we support your education and career journey as well as your social life at university. Check out our medicine student society, peer mentoring programs and FAQs to get more of an insight into your student journey with us.

Representing 1,600 medical students at UNSW, Medsoc enriches the student experience with events, initiative and activities that are both educational and a fun social experience. Make connections that matter over six years of study across six of our campuses.

Wellbeing is more than just mental health. It is holistic, multifaceted and interconnected. UNSW Medicine has a dedicated wellbeing officer that provides a free and confidential support service for students in undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

We support our students with a range of mentoring opportunities. Whether you're in your first year, completing a HDR program or looking to become job-ready, we offer services to help provide support and guidance throughout your study.

Medical students must be aware and adhere to several State and Federal Government policies including NSW health requirements, registration with the National Medical Board, criminal record checks and more. Brush up on the government policies you'll need to follow when studying at UNSW Medicine.
