Dr. Paula Jops is a Research Fellow within the Global Health Program at the Kirby Institute, UNSW Sydney. She has a cross-disciplinary background in anthropology, development studies, and public health. Paula has worked on projects related to tuberculosis, HIV, cervical screening, refugees and forced migration, and sexual and gender-based violence. She has conducted research both locally and internationally, most recently in India, Thailand, and Papua New Guinea. Paula is currently working on two NHMRC funded projects, 'Understanding the socio-cultural dimensions of tuberculosis in Papua New Guinea: knowledge to optimise public health solutions', and 'Supporting Choice: Equity in access to HPV testing for cervical cancer screening among under screened and never screened women and people with a cervix in Australia.'
