35 Years of HIV - What now?
Tuesday 2 November 2016
When the AIDS epidemic emerged in the 1980’s, Dr Lane turned his attention to studying mechanisms of HIV disease and the potential role of immune based therapies, eventually extending his work through a series of international collaborations that began in Australia with Professors David Cooper and Sean Emery (UNSW Kirby Institute). Among his many awards and recognitions are membership in the US National Academy of Medicine, the Chevalier de I’Ordre National du Mali and US Dept of Health and Human Services Secretary’s Award for Distinguished Service.
