Supervision

As one of our HDR candidates, you will work with the guidance and supervision of globally recognised researchers during your graduate research years.

All UNSW Medicine HDR supervisors follow supervision practices, UNSW policies, procedures and all relevant resources.

All new supervisors at UNSW are required to take the Essentials of Supervision training and pass the associated assessment before they are eligible to become a primary supervisor and lead a supervisory team at HDR level.

Scholarships

UNSW offers various Graduate Research Scholarships Schemes to both Domestic and International Higher Degree Research candidates.

Medicine HDR Peer Mentoring Program

During their first year, HDR Candidates may face different challenges along the way. At UNSW Medicine, newly commenced candidates are encouraged to participate in the HDR Peer Mentoring Program. With the guidance from senior HDR candidates, this program will provide participants with insight on how to navigate the first year of their HDR candidature and to establish a network of peers.
