The St George and Sutherland Clinical School Research in Progress Meetings, are a lunchtime research seminar open to researchers, students, UNSW and St George Hospital staff and any interested members of the public.  A catered lunch will be provided. 

Pathogenesis of liver disease

Speaker: Prof. Geoff W McCaughan, Medicine, Central Clinical School, University of Sydney, Head of Liver Injury and Cancer Program, Centenary Institute of Cancer Medicine and Cell Biology. 

Professor Geoff W McCaughan is in the fields of Liver pathobiology and Clinical Liver transplantation and Hepatology. He is a member of the Faculty at the Centenary Institute and is head of the Hepatitis and Liver Cancer Program. He also heads a clinical research program as Director of the AW Morrow Gastroenterology and Liver Centre and Director of the Australian National Liver Transplant unit at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the University of Sydney.
