How to apply

Domestic applicants

You are a domestic applicant if you are:

  • an Australian citizen
  • an Australian permanent resident
  • a New Zealand citizen

Domestic applicants are ineligible to apply as international students, irrespective of their citizenship of any other country.

Apply here if you are a straightforward domestic applicant (NSW, interstate or overseas) or if you would like to apply through our Lateral Entry Scheme or the Gateway Entry Scheme.

Local applicants

If you have lived in a defined rural location in Australia for a significant amount of time, you may apply through our Rural Entry Scheme.

(Applicants must choose to apply through the Rural Entry Scheme or straightforward local entry - they cannot apply through both.)

Rural Entry Scheme

Applicants of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander origin may apply through our Indigenous Entry Scheme.

(Applicants must choose to apply through the Indigenous Entry Scheme or straightforward local entry - they cannot apply through both.)

Indigenous Entry Scheme

 

International applicants

You are an international applicant if you are not:

  • an Australian citizen
  • an Australian permanent resident
  • a New Zealand citizen

Applicants who hold Australian citizenship, Australian permanent residency or New Zealand citizenship must apply as domestic applicants and are ineligible to apply as international students, irrespective of their citizenship of any other country.
